For the new edition of a wine text book, the opportunity arose to create a look based on geometric illustration and pattern rather than photography. The title for the cover implies the label on a bottle of wine, and the interaction between the glass and bottle shapes gives it a unique balance. From this, a visual system was developed that continues through each of the chapter openings and also inspired the rest of the interior layout.

Each section of the book has a signature identifying color which helps inform the make-up of the chapter openings within. Even so, all of the colors interplay throughout the book giving the whole a cohesive feeling.
