This 3D scanner is an academic research project conducted at USC aimed to build a cheap alternative to 3D data acquisition. Using stereo cameras and a line laser it plots every keyframe to a calibrated graph. The graph when put together forms rich 3D data accurate upto +/- 1.5 mm.
