Portfolio Site Redesign

I often find myself growing bored (or straight up embarrassed) of my sites. The latter was the driving force behind this iteration.
As per usual, I began diving deep into other portfolio sites looking for inspiration. What must have been 30 open tabs later,
I am a huge believer in simplicity, and I felt that this site layout inherently had a minimal feel, but I felt it could be better.
Cue content creation.
Cuss yeah, looking good
I'm so stoked to circulate this baby!
Motivated to keep improving — this time in response to getting rejected from several big website showcase sites — I thought back to the phenomenon mentioned above: user migration. A user shouldn't have to leave my site to see my work.
Blegh
There must be a better way.
Luckily I'm in a field where most of my work is online. I could let the user browse my projects without ever dealing with new tabs, windows, or confusion!
I iterated a couple times before I found something that works and works well on mobile.
This site will likely always be a work in progress! Expect new projects, redesigns, new features, and easter eggs. Here's a peek of a new feature in the making! (Because who likes mailtos?)
