Acoma is a display typeface hypothetically created for the Museum of the American Indian in Washington, D.C. The typeface is based on the pottery motifs of the Acoma Pueblo in New Mexico, the oldest continually inhabited area in the United States. Pottery from this pueblo is famous for intricately painted geometric designs. The letterforms draw on the pottery's use of concentric shapes, softened square and triangle forms, and clean lines.
