Hewlett Packard Collaborative Learning Class

This project was a collaboration between HP and a select group of SCAD students. The student's backgrounds included graphic design, industrial design, game design, and attraction design. The goal of this project was to create memorable and engaging experiences for the HP customer. In order to achieve this we focused on two main areas: packaging and store experience.
Store Experience
For store experience, we chose the store within a store model. This model allowed customers to continue shopping at their favorite retailers while allowing HP to tailor an experience unique to their brand. This model also made it easy to give non-HP customers a chance to sample the product with no strings attached.
Below are some renderings of some proposed store-in-store layouts.
Along with the store-in-store approach, we also developed booths that engaged the customer. These booths would provide on the go printing services for documents and pictures.
Package Design
The packaging was redesigned to appeal more to potential customers and provide experiences that would encourage a high customer return. Below is an initial concept for packaging.
Below are final packaging samples. These samples incorporate 1-4 color ink packs, photo paper, and material to show the customer how to get the most out of their purchase.
