Mongolian Meeting -

I painted this group portrait some time back, and greatly enjoyeddepicting the richness of colour,
texture and light, aiming alsoto capture the spirit of these wonderful people, that they enjoy
within their culture.
They are sitting in a yurt, listening attentively toa European translator describing the difference
between our cultureand their own.

I wanted to depict a black moor, (atthe bottom here) as a portly, princely fish, brooding & lurking
quietlybeneath the playful veil-tails above.
