House music has found it’s place in the Icelandic music scene. House is a
beat-driven dance music that developed from disco in the 80s. Design has always been a big part of this particular genre, for example the posters, flyers and artworks. In Húsverk the Icelandic house music history is divided into different periods and Dj’s interviewed. In this project the look of house music is interpreted and the DIY mentality portrayed. The book Húsverk is mass produced on a photo copier with a hand stamped cover. The records are cut here in Iceland, hand stamped with a silk screen printed cover, in limited edition of 20 copies.
