Breathe Creativity
While an event coordinator for the Washington, DC chapter of AIGA, Iplanned an evening with the goal of inspiring creativity. I named theevent "Breathe Creativity," because creative inspirationsurrounds us always; it's just waiting to be inhaled.
While an event coordinator for the Washington, DC chapter of AIGA, Iplanned an evening with the goal of inspiring creativity. I named theevent "Breathe Creativity," because creative inspirationsurrounds us always; it's just waiting to be inhaled.
Brief: Develop and implement an event concept that will attract AIGA members to attend, network and learn.
Solution: I began by enlisting the talented team from Play, a creative consultancy based in Richmond, to provide a speaker for the event. I worked closely with the inspirational, and wildly humorous, Courtney Ferrell to develop a captivating message for the design audience. I chose a venue that supported a worthy cause, The Human Rights Campaign, and provided a unique, sun-lit space within an urban setting. My support team helped ensure that the networking hour was filled with inspirational resources such as an assortment of creative-inspired books, a TED talk about teaching creativity, butcher paper for doodling, etc.
