The goal of this project is to understand the role research helps in shaping the design of an artifact. This project is a rapid exercise to help us begin thinking about research, audience, interpretation, signs and symbols. The goal is to incorporate these concepts into a simple visual asset-a city flag. The goal of the flag design is to create a product that is so simple, yet metaphorically speaks and empowers an entire community. The desire is to represent a multi-cultural urban landscape—Seattle.
