Oslo is light
MA Project
Cities all around the world are constantly in motion, developing, expanding and transforming. As with every other city in the world, Oslo has its unique rhythm and pulse. In Oslo this rhythm is determined by the changing daylight.

The contrasts between dark and bright, between human beings and landscape, between artificial and natural light are so strong and visible, which has led to the city’s people and buildings being characterized by the nature that surrounds them. Man’s rhythm and lifestyle changes as the seasons and with the light. How you experience Oslo, depends largely on the time of season or day, where the varying light conditions create atmospheres and moods that are unique in that given area.

My MA project is build upon a city's natural qualities – its seasons, its light, its atmosphere. The elements used on print are changing according to the amount of daylight – blue during day, green during night. Other elements are formed by human interaction. The identity is ever changing, where new expressions of light are created everyday – by people and the city itself.
