As an exercise for a uni assignments, we were required to create an illustration entirely traditionally and then move on to digital media to clean up and add colour. This illustration is loosely based on a selfie I took featuring multiple pop culture references that were prominent at that moment in time (e.g. Drake's "Hotline Bling" and Rihanna's "BBHMM"), as well as references to my own personal interests and belongings and ultimately, an ode to "girlhood" and self-love.
