Our environment is a great bank of sources to learn and inspire. We wanted to create an activity/game that would lead children at a younger age to engage in their surroundings and understand them from different perspectives. Our trigger to engage the children with were 'patterns'. Patterns are all around us; in nature, in our surroundings and our activity is trying to push children to build an eye to look for the details from when they are small. Art, Design and Science being inspired by patterns found in nature and around us.

The aim was to create an art based process that changed the way 'teaching of art' is looked at. An activity that would give children a better understanding of colors, textures and patterns found in nature. Giving them the basic understanding of looking at fractals in things around them and giving it an artistic form.

Also, providing the art teachers and students the possibility to look at the learning process in a different and new way. Not just with the usual drawings of houses and tress and the sun.
Extracting patterns in nature from Andamans by using macro lenses and a Canon 550D dslr. Taking them as trigger points to create artistic images by making students ALERT to patterns around them, patterns as TRIGGERS of imagination and build your VISUAL EXPRESSION.
