This was my first show and it was a solo show for Play N Trade. They gave me an opportunity to decorate their walls with gaming art. The store focuses on carrying and selling Retro games. I grew up on these 8-bit games and I still play games now, so inspiration came natural to me. I wanted to show a contrast between the past and present. One half is 8-bit and the other side has a higher resolution and at the same time, the backgrounds are also flip-flopped. I wanted the viewers eyes to dance around the canvas. These are all acrylic on canvas.
