During the Spring 2012, a portion of the Senior Project portfolio was dedicated to making four distinct graphic stills. Each still hopefully tackled something different in its style and approach.

"Backstage Pass"
"Backstage Pass" - a fictitious music program showcasing up and coming artists; full screen intro graphic.
The leather jacket, v-neck and neck, lanyard straps, background concert photo, and lanyard plastic were all separate pieces pulled from the internet. After much use of the lasso and wand tool in Photoshop and a few more tricks, the compositing really started to come together. A slight blue tint was added to the leather jacket and "stage lights" were placed over the shoulders to create the final look.
 "The Playbook"
"The Playbook" - a fictitious sports program geared towards the true sports guru; full screen intro graphic.
This piece was another venture in manipulating existing images from the internet to create a final cohesive graphic. The stack of papers, 3-ring binding, and metallic background were lasso-ed, transformed, color adjusted, and tinkered with to make it look as though they belong together. The icing on the cake was creating a "stamped-on" look to the words and drawing play scribbles on front of the book.
"Birthday Bash" - lower third
"Birthday Bash - lower third" - graphic for video covering a birthday party for families at the Salvation Army Center of Hope in downtown Tulsa, OK.
Credit needs to be given where credit is due. The original idea that this lower third is based on is from a flyer created by Lauren Rockett (for the "Birthday Bash" event). Take a look at the flyer for comparison. The banner, colors, and typography were all her original elements that I ended up taking and transforming into a lower third graphic. I felt that it was critical to keep the same branding in this project for the video elements created for it.
"Team China"
"Team China" - full screen graphic for "Bring Hope - Team China" commercial
This graphic contains a video still of Beijing, China, stylized typography, and a logo for "ORU Missions." In the upper right hand corner, Chinese type spells out "China." The logo for "ORU Missions" was actually fabricated off of an existing logo (that was not translucent) in order to see the city in the background. Overall, the toughest part about creating this piece was figuring out the placement of the logo and type elements.
