"Transference"
State(s) of Flux
A series of analog images exploring the intersection of memory, time and perception - using scale models related to the theme of historical conflict, placed and rendered immobile in landscapes made of ice - landscapes that, like time and memory, are in flux and slowly disappearing as they melt. Like objects glimpsed in a dream, each picture tells a story of something lost and found, something familiar yet detached. Nothing lasts forever. Yet traces from the past always seem to endure. In disappearance over time and in the remembrance of the forgotten, lies the fullness of feeling, and this ongoing work attempts to expose that paradox.
