Personalized iPhone 4 case
I began with the specs provided by Apple for case designers. This turned out to be a mistake as the numbers given were quite off from the actual. After I made some measurements myself I was able to create a Solidworks sketch of what I wanted.
The case is designed to fit around the corners of the phone and secure along the edge of the aluminum band that makes up the phone's sides. A hole was also cut out of the case for the camera and flash.

The beading of the plastic gives the case a really cool looking texture.
Ultimately, the case would not fit on the phone. The plastic is not very pliable and therefore would break when being fit onto the phone. Slightly over sizing the case would not solve this problem because then the case would simply slip off without any sort of trouble.

The overall process however was very rewarding. I was able to experience the trials and tribulations of designing and fitting a case. I learned not to always check measurements, regardless of their source because not only does it waste time, but it could waste money and materials.
