Second semester work at Concordia.
Final Project: Exquisite Corpse, with BE
Half of plate is worked on, image developed & etched. It is then covered with ashphaltum & mactac, to protect and hide from partner's view. Partner then develops & etches accompanying image, & returns plate. Two plates are completed for final project.
I began with the left half; the old Engineers' building on Beaver Hall Hill in Montreal. Day shot. BE worked on right half, and I had to work the dark, saturated image into mine. Changed mine to night scene using a series of aquatints. Drew in lamp post, figure walking dog. Added more depth & detail on the right, line & aquatint.
Edition of 10, vine black & Indigo inks on Mayfair Edition paper.
Following images (Foggy evening), using above inks, burnt umber, peacock blue. Surface roll with gold & silver.
