Punchdrunk is a company that has pioneered a new form of theatre, creating spaces for audiences to interact with so that they can explore the stories being performed in front of them. They do all of this while keeping an air of mystery and secretiveness that pull their audiences in.
To successfully brand Punchdrunk, the immersive experience and mystery were included within the kit. Another detail was to take note of the time periods their shows take place in, as many are older eras that often utilize different art periods. Finally, Punchdrunk currently uses the term “Keyholder“ for their members, which is illustrated within the print, as well as included with the special key collectible.
Each kit includes a booklet outlining the levels of membership, as well as the companies goals and values, a commemorative key that the member can keep for themselves, a
special New Years Eve event invitation, and a hidden compartment in the bottom of the
box holding a poem that ties into the experience. Each of these add to what Punchdrunk emulates and creates a mini immersive experience in the Keyholder’s own home.
