Introduction

This is a 2 part assignment that was completed over two topics the first is a story about what i do and the second one is a story of my choosing. These videos should display good storytelling. The goal of this project is to show what and who you are by using Adobe Voice we were able to capture our story into the app then we were asked to add publish it to Behance.

Methods/Process/Workflow:
We were asked to answer these questions:

How has your time at school challenged you creatively?
Share a time when you enjoyed an epic win in an assignment at school and explain its importance.
Share a time when you had an epic fail in an assignment at school and share what you learned from that experience.
Share a piece of work that you are exceedingly proud of and explain why you are so proud of it.
What has been the biggest highlight in the current pursuit of your interests?

What is the  important lesson have you learned as a student so far this year?
What advice would you give to someone considering entering a program aimed at a career in a creative field?
If you could make a wish come true, what would it be?

So then I went along and started to create my script and it turned out like this:

Rough Draft written outline:
Hey guys it’s me Eric Galowitsch and I’m here to talk to you about myself so sit back relax and enjoy.

Back then when I was a kid I really didn’t know what I wanted to do but I wanted to be an art teacher, and unfortunately my job choices today have changed completely. My mom took me to the McMichael Canadian Art Collection in Kleinberg, Ontario, where I got the first hand of the group of seven, and to this day they are one of my biggest inspirations.

Next, my mom took me to the ROM where it was an epicenter for civilizations and nature where every Saturday I was part of the Saturday Morning Club where I went until I was 14 where the last Saturday Morning Club was Dungeons and Dragons, which was the best one, there were other programs like Greek, Roman, Egyptian and many others that were interesting.

Presently my first successful piece was a Mural celebrating Newtonbrook’s 50th Anniversary, I worked with seven other people and our task was to create a mural celebrating the event. We each created our own idea and then we shared our ideas, and we then started to find that we like certain aspects of each mural idea. We then created a cohesive idea and we started, by then we were under a lot of stress with the celebration 3 months away we pulled through and completed it and to this day it looks amazing.

The biggest failure that I have done was my self-portrait from foundation drawing 1, it was a hot mess and I was very upset with the result. But I pulled through and to this day I use this piece as what not to do and learned from my mistakes and continue to create better art and design projects.

The biggest accomplishment would be getting one of my artwork shown at a gallery in Toronto on queen and dovercourt called the Twist Gallery, it was an incredible experience having one of my art shown in a gallery before college, it was an amazing experience. The piece is called Networks and the theme was inside/outside architecture, so I created a picture from downtown Toronto with the major streets in Toronto.

After the whole gallery experience it was time to go back to the everyday self, and that meant where the hell I was going to for post-secondary. I had no clue I wanted to do interior design, so I applied to Fanshawe College in London, Ontario, then I also applied at George Brown College for art and design foundation. Eventually I chose to go to George brown college for art and design foundation.

Currently I am in the second semester of GBC’s Art and Design Foundation and I have loved it and hated it with a passion but currently almost ending the second semester I have learned a lot and changed a lot, I am trying to go into graphic design. Hopefully I will get in so wish me luck…

So what about the future…. currently I have no clue but right now I am currently trying to go into graphic design and but other than that I have no clue. Nobody knows what the future holds for anyone but I am ready for the ride and ready to take a hit if I fail, and to come back stronger. I don’t know whether or not I will work in a large or small studio or it will be freelance I have no clue. Just remember you can do anything to what your heart desires and let your heart guide you in your path.

Until next time…Have fun I’ll talk to you soon.

Then i went into Adobe Voice and started to record it, fortunately I sort of butchered the script and went off on my own and used my own words to describe the story and I think it turned out better.
I went into google to find images and inserted into the slide and also included some captions to make more sense.

It came time to post it online so I embedded the code into Behance and created a new porject.

Story 2: A Story of My Choosing (A Special Place)

Introduction:
The goal of this project is to show what and who you are by using Adobe Voice we were able to capture our story into the app then we were asked to add publish it to Behance.

Methods/Process/Workflow:
We were asked to answer these questions:

Stories About a Place in My Life
The spaces we inhabit day-to-day say much about who we are. You may have a story about a place in your life that is significant such as a Church, Temple, Mosque, Restaurant, Town, Park, Natural Space, Store, etc.
-How would you describe the place?
-With whom did you share this place?
-What general experiences do you relate to this place?
-Was there a defining experience at the place?
-What lessons about yourself do you draw from your relationship to this place?
-If you have returned to this place, how has it changed?

Then I went into Adobe Voice and created the script for what i was going to say, then when it came time to record my voice, I went to a quite spot and recorded my voice with enthusiasm. Next, it came time to add music I added Land Down Under from Men at Work an Australian music group.

I went into google to find images and inserted into the slide and also included some captions to make more sense.
It came time to post it online so I embedded the code into Behance and created a new porject.

Conclusion:

From what I learned from this project is that you have make yourself sound interesting and if it doesn't work you have to try it again and work harder to where you want to be. This project was fun but a little tricky trying to find a quiet spot to record and then you have to talk even louder. But overall it was a fun project and I learnt a lot about myself as a person and in general.
