MUDworks
A different shade of green
This installation was a school-wide collaboration at the Harvard Graduate School of Design.  Martin Rauch and Anna Herringer oversaw a participartory process involving about 150 students, professors, Loeb Fellows, contractors and curious citizens to design and build the intervention.  Earthen walls shape an informal  sitting space on an otherwise unused public corner of the GSD - Quincy Street and Cambridge Street.  The idea was to make visible several applications of an under-appreciated building material while also activating an underused space.   This project has been the most enjoyable experience I have had since I got to Cambridge.
