Repackaging Study | Nestlé™ Honey Gold Flakes

The existing packaging of Nestlé™ Honey Gold Flakes Cereal, and almost every other cereal available in the market, is made of printed paperboard boxes. Unfortunately, the box is often tossed in the bin right after the contents have been consumed. Ideally, we could benefit from a more eco-friendly alternative packaging that is reusable and resealable, extending its life cycle.
Existing mass-produced paperboard packaging.
SOLUTION

"a reusable and resealable stand-up pouch
to replace single-use paperboard boxes"
With a custom stand-up pouch, it can be reused as food storage.
Featuring a resealable zipper, it can maintain the content's crispness or freshness over time. The pouch also features a narrow opening intended to prevent unnecessary spills.

For its visual design, the existing elements from previous packaging are reincorporated but rearranged for a new look. A
see-through plastic window is also introduced, to show consumers how much it actually contains.

Reusing packaging ultimately means less post-consumer waste in our landfills: a problem that we have all been trying to address.
