Proximity Toronto was an official sponsor of the 2nd annual TEDxToronto after party, and we wanted to do something special. Working with InteraXon, we created The Proximity Pour – an interactive, thought-controlled computing installation.
Background
 
As an official sponsor of the 2nd annual TEDx Toronto after party, we had a unique opportunity to grow the Proximity brand among a select group of hard to reach thought leaders – all simply out to have a good time. So we thought to ourselves… What motivates people at a party? And then it hit us. The answer wasn't in our brains. It was in theirs.

Once outfitted with the special headset, participants used their brainwaves to pour the perfect cocktail. The harder participants focused, the faster their martini would flow. And the one to pour their virtual martini fastest won an all-expense paid trip to the bar. 
We also used QR codes to serve up a party-themed version of Proximity.ca, and stickybits to give new media savvy partygoers the opportunity to post pics, videos and comments all night long.
