The mobile campaign was divided into two phases.


Phase I – The premiere before the premiere. Unveiling the new Audi Q3.

The first part of the mobile campaign was released four days before the official premiere of the new Audi Q3. Highlight was the unveiling of the new car exclusively on the mobile internet 24 hours before it was shown to the public on other media. Until then different car details were shown each day.

The »stages« for the car presentation were a billboard in Munich, magazine ads and a wallpaper posted on the Audi Facebook channel exclusively for their fans.

In order to experience the new Audi Q3, the user had to download a mobile application. Using augmented reality, one could then bring out the different details onto the presentation area.

Phase II – Built from new expectations. The Audi Q3.

In this second phase of the mobile application we tell the story of the Audi Q3 from two different perspectives: One being the view of clever thinkers whose ideas has set new standards in their respective fields. The other from Audi engineers who, with the Audi Q3, have done just the same. Perspectives can be changeg by flipping or shaking your mobile phone.

The design challenge was to create a premium design using a static layout, 3D processing, CGI rendering and green screen video – in real-time with seamless transitions between the sequences. We filled this virtual world with entertainment content in order to make it possible to experience the Audi Q3: video clips, a 360 degree view, engine sounds and a mini configurator.
