Final Vis Comm Assignment- April 25, 2016

I chose  the colors scheme to stir up an Americana nostalgic look. I wanted a round badge to be used as a tag,if needed on the product. It can also be printed onto stickers and it wraps well on the bottle. The banner in the center is interchangeable, so if we chose to make a green salsa, we could easliy replace the banner with "Salsa Verde" and use a green color scheme to promote the product. The logo states what the product is and where it was made. The established date gives you a little history of the product. The flow from top to bottom is aligned this way to have the viewer read it from top to bottom, once the center logo is read first. The contrast of colors work well together and also leave a memorable impression with the viewer.
I chose to have my information in the center of the bottom of the paper, so that it would be in line with the logo that is in the center of the top page. I wanted to create a flow and allow the colors to work together. I wanted the logo to be dominant in the center of the page too. The letterhead is a litle large, but I wanted this emphasis and boldness. I wanted to use the space and dominate the white space. My information is uniformed and grouped together so the viewer can see all of it in one spot. This information is repeated on the envelope and business cards.
I kept the envelope simple and it matches the color scheme (repetition)with the font in blue as a courtesy to the mail carriers, so it would be easy on the eyes to read and ensure delivery.  The white space is left for the postal service to utilize for proper distribution. First Wife's Salsa is slightly larger than the physical address, but the same font is used for repetition. The alignment of the address is placed to the right of the logo and centered with it. It is placed in the proper location required to deliever in the mail system.
My business card is bold and the colors pop, but they are legible. I have continued the same color scheme and fonts. The solid movement and flow add crispness to the card. The scan code will take the customer to the website. I included all of my information with a font that is easy to read.  I kept the business card centered to match the letterhead. I wanted to create the flow from top to bottom for flow. I wanted the logo to be solo on the front and stand on its own. The consumer will then turn the card over to read the information. I tried to include the logo into the scan code, but it did not work well, this is a thought for the future. I have added who the business owner is...founder, owner , first wife to show some humor and personal touch to the card. I added a fax number, but in reality I would add my social media boilerplates and handles. The RoT is also used and the logo is modified to complement the original logo in the front.

My Facebook profile and header (cover photo) have included the same color scheme and when placed on the social media platform they will enhance each other. The cover photo has a cheeky slogan added to it for personality and humor. I want the reader to remember the slogan and igore the fact that the profile pic content is repeated in the cover photo. I do not think there is any negative space, once the white profile pic is placed over the blue cover photo, it will be emphasized. The slogan also uses the same script font that is inside the logo for cohesiveness.

My Twiiter is simple and is similar to the Facebook header, but it does not include the "cheeky" hook line.  The colors are bold and are consistent with the entire package. Again, the colors, fonts and content are repeated on the social media platform. I could add the slogan in the future or leave it off...maybe I can create a new one to add here, " My salsa brings all the chips to the bowl"...cheesy?

For my black and white, I chose to create an ad where the call to action would be to place an order and receive 50 percent off your first order. The script was chosen to create flow towards the coupon code. I used black to highlight the white font so the message would execute well. The logo is repeated twice, but with some adjustment to the darker one. I removed the "rope" brand around the badge. I kept the same font for my information to match my business card.  I chose my "slogan" to be humorous and keep the reader engaged. I also intended for the flow of the script to lean towards the jar of salsa. It is hard to display red salsa on black and white, but they would be able to recognize the jar if they saw it on display for sale.  I gave a brief description of the product and allowed this to utilize some of the white space.

For my color, I chose the concert poster style, so if I wanted to modify the bottom portion with different content, change content, I would not have to mess with the picture. This makes this ad interchangeable. The contrast of red, white and blue, mirrors the colors in my logo. The font also mirrrors the fonts used in the logo. I placed the logo on the jar, so my customer would be able to recognize the jar on display. The call to action is a discount coupon for a first time customer. I chose white font so it would pop off the red and blue background, this was for execution. I wanted the jar to be the in the center for attention and be the main focal point. I also used the same "slogan" for consistency.
