To rally supporters, I volunteered my time to promoting my friend in his upcoming fight. There were many different ideas discussed in the development of the design, but I was committed to including as many as possible in a harmonious composition.
The concept was to give my fighter a champion's emblem using aesthetics that would be dramatic, illuminating, and memorable. He required a presentation that gave homage to his instructors, his heritage, and his style. The corn husk turned out to play the prominent role in the design by animating itself as the binding force of all things integral to Jose.
