MUSIC IS ART
Art is supposed to make you feel something. An artists primary objective should be to make the observer feel something.
Music is a form of art.
Music has been a medium of expression to me more than anything. People feel music. People live music. People love music. And the reason behind it is the emotions it stirs.
In this project i tried to capture what music makes you feel. Playing an instrument is a vital part as you become one with the sounds since you are the one creating it. The process was simple. I chose the paint colour which i could associate the most with the track; poured it on a plastic sheet covering only the woofer of my amplifier; placed a sheet of the puddle of paint and played the track on my guitar. The paint splatterd all over the plain white sheets and the intensity of the splatter was controled by my playing.
The result is what you see in front of you. Beautiful abstract shapes perfectly capturing the spirit of my guitar.
