In the beginning of the 20th century, the population of wild tigers was around 100,000. Today, there are about 3500 tigers left in the world. In the past 60 years, three subspecies of tigers have been lost to extinction.

3500 is a charity project with the main purpose to educate about the current status of the tiger, as well as draw traffic to the WWF.
