Exc Magazine
In Portugal, it's difficult to find a magazine targeting LGBTQ+ (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans and Queer) that can pride itself on having published more than a couple of issues. Whether for its unappealing design or for the way the subject is tackled, these publications often don't seem to truly reach their audience.
However, the sense that our differences should bring us together has probably never been so noticeable as it is nowadays.
Taking all this into consideration, we felt the need to build a space of celebration, free expression and discussion of these subjects in our country. More than a magazine, Exc is our statement on equality between human beings.
The first Exc was a 64-page issue on fascinating gay men with stories about freedom, love, family, manifestos and religion.

This project was nominated for the Acquisition Prizes 2014/2015 – Fine Arts and Communication Design as one of the best works developed at my faculty in the year 2014/2015. It was alsofeatured at 3NTA | Architecture and Design students magazine.
