Lithuanian pavilion at EXPO Milano 2015

BALANCE

Pavilion is composed of two identical cubic buildings joined by a series of interconnecting walkways, covering a total of 1,147 square meters. According to the EXPO 2015 theme "Feeding the Planet. Energy for life.", the concept symbolise a balance in everything, between old and new, tradition and innovation, natural products and virtual technology, theory and practice.
With the intention to offer enjoyable space for visitors, the ground floor is planned as an open-air space with food service and event place.
One of the building’s blocks is devoted to an exposition that reflects tradition, while the other will present the innovations and achievements of Lithuanian agriculture, food industry and features of the contemporary cuisine.
Volumetric scenario connects the indoor and outdoor space, allows visitors to access and circulate within the exhibition space offering various experiences.
