Each card is a full screen card, which is a prelude to a news article. And the user either swipes left/right or up/down to see more cards.
Full Screen cards (unlike the grid style of News feed in most apps) might not facilitate content discovery at a glance. But, it is certainly a unique form of content delivery, where the user interacts with only one card and swipes to discover more.
Here are a few variants designed for News feed as Full Screen Cards. The first variants carries a 60 word description of the News Article, whereas the rest serve more as a teaser than a elaborate read.
