DEVELOPMENT: Kinect Project Database

Kinect Project Database
For my Innovation Capstone in Winter '10, I decided to tackle the then-just released Kinect in some way. While doing the research, however, I realized there wasn't any sort of centralized resource for all the projects and experiments popping up in the wake of Kinect's release. Since many of these projects rely on receiving credit from those who use their work in order to justify further development, I saw a unique opportunity to help the young Kinect homebrew scene expand more quickly.

My initial database was built in MySQL with a PHP-based front-end layer. It's still viewable here. After my Capstone was finished, it was used as a starting point for a class designing a similar online resource for Kinect development. Their site can be found here.
This is the 'People' database. It lists anyone involved with a project or tool currently listed in those respective databases.
This is the 'Projects' database. It contains listings for homebrew projects, research projects, and promotional creations. It also lists compatibility and links to homepage, videos, and source code where applicable.
This is the 'Tools' database. Like the Projects database it contains similar information about the various tools used in Kinect development.
This is the Filters menu, where the data being displayed can be filtered and sorted, to create custom lists.
