One of my favorite things to do is get to know the people who live in a place. One day a friend and I were introduced to a family of idol makers in the city of Jaipur. After seeing the workshop and drinking several cups of tea together, we set about shooting the intricate and skilled work that they do, while at the same time confounded by the process of turning marble stone into a god that is worshipped by others.
