44 x 60 cm typo-poster
.
Team project done with my work mate Irene Felicetti.
This project is one of the product of our daily research on the alternative,
We think that an act of creativity cannot prescind from
creative functions that objects may have. An analog photo booth from the 60's
can be turned into a "fontographic" machine for old fashioned (type)faces.
We chose former and new stars among types and assembled a poster
featuring 132 pictures on 33 strips. Each strip portrays a different typeface
drawn on paper and then photographed.
The group photo pieces togheter a message:
"The success of portrait photography is bound up with the capability
of the subject to fully exploit the awareness of being photographed".
We think that an act of creativity cannot prescind from
the awareness of what is happening around us as well as from
the correspondence between form and content.
