This my entry for travelling in time.
I choose going back in time.
It is said that people who die or have a near death experience have a flashback of their entire live.
This could be seen as travelling back in time, this was my starting point.
An old man dies and has a flashback of his live.
To symbolise the death I got inspired with Greek mythology: Kharon.
In Greek mythology, Charon or Kharon (pronounced /ˈke(ə)rən/; Greek Χάρων) was the ferryman of Hades who carried souls of the newly deceased across the River Styx that divided the world of the living from the world of the dead.

Well all of this was turning way to dark and sinister at this point and this is what I wanted to avoid at any cost.
So I made Kharon a very colourfull character. His face is a mask that always smiles. (He thinks people should see a happy face when they die.)
With a simple boat he floats on The Styx. I made the Styx like a giant crystal blue wave that floats above the ground and goes wherever Kharon demands. All along the Styx colourfull confetti drops from the air.
During the travel on the Styx Kharon shows the old man memories of his past life drawn in the sky.
Here are some renders to give a better feel of the story. Unfortunatly I didn't get to the part with the memories...
