Pictures of Pictures
A strange behaviour photographed in the Louvre, Paris

During a visit to the Louvre I observed that visitors often felt the need to photograph works of art, the amusing result was that a lot of visitors were simply viewing all of the art through a screen, which they could have of course done from home. I witnessed one man walk along an entire wall and photograph every painting which included several rows of pictures one on top of another. The range of equipment used was also staggering, right from a 5DmkII to a dated blackberry and even and iPad. This lillustrates our obsession with recording and sharing our experiences, a behavioural theory supported further by my own photos below.
