I have been dealing with the visualisation of contrasts and unusual associations as objects. I created the first works of this kind while studying at university between 2004 and 2006. I tried to visualise everyday things and phenomena in a different way, giving them additional meaning. At the time, this contrast became visible mainly in the contrast of different materials.
Recently I have focused on the form as a symbol instead, as the pieces of the series Common Horse (Common Horse 2.) and Transition show. Transition is basedon an old kneading-trough cut in two, turned out by an unusually playwood. I wanted to include an object evoking the past in this contemporaty collection.
