Headshots are the most basic yet most varied type of portrait photography. Their use can range from a promotional business or bio portrait to just a fun closeup portrait. The subject can be placed against a solid or patterned backdrop, or incorporate an existing environment. Lighting can be ambient light, mixed, or an array or various flashes.
