From Shuttle to Building: An Architectural Journey (1)

On my first day of architecture school, we were given a pack of printer paper, tape and some string. Our mission was to make a set of five paper shuttles, and curate how they fall when dropped from six feet. The following if a poetic process of how a paper shuttle evolved into a building design titled, "The Tower of a Shuttlemaker."
My first paper shuttle. Designed with a parachute to reduce air drag, the shuttle falls in a fairly stright path with some wobbling.
This section drawing shows the path of the fall of the paper shuttle when it is dropped from six feet. Drawn at 1/4" = 1'-0" scale.
An earlier version of the shuttle, this time designed with a stricter geometric order and a directly attached parachute. This makes the shuttle wobble more as it falls.
The final itteration of the shuttle.
