CF Dromon is designed by Panagiotis Haratzopoulos (2014-15) under assignment to streamline the road signage. It is a revival of the familiar letters that we read on the blue signs of provincial roads and local signage of Greece.

Initially, the font was designed and adopted by the Ministry of Public Works in 1974 having emerged from the adaptation of the British model designed by Jock Kinneir & Margaret Calvert in the 60's.

The digital version CF Dromon, free from errors and design inconsistencies of the original design, supports Greek Monotonic and full Western Latin character set (inc. Romanian and Turkish), monospaced numbers, fractions, etc.
