Smirnoff It started with a Mule
The Smirnoff Mule was invented in the 1940's at the Cock 'n Bull Tavern on Sunset Boulevard. Smirnoff wanted to bring back this classic drink and promote in the Australian market.
Our response was a classic interactive whodunit experience that took users to the birthplace of the Mule. Hollywood, 1940's.
I was responsible for creative and visual execution, overseeing video and all art production. The direction was directly influenced by the film noir and was used as a strong reference point for all design.
Main site designs showing identity and final video composites. All video was shot on green screen and backgrounds were matte painted by myself.
Typography was crafted to look as close to title art of the 1940's
The interactive game elements were a mix of video and actual game play which all came together to form a story. This had to be carefully planned out to co-ordinate production and to ensure a seamless end product.
