Red Cup Art (Collection 4)

I didn't know that the Miss Universe pageant was happening live and I was about to start my BodyPump class at 10am just when Miss Philippines was included in the Top 15. Noticeably, I had fewer students than usual, and I can already guess why. From the stage where I was teaching, I can conveniently see a TV broadcasting the contest. I had to update my students in between tracks! Now it was during the shoulders track when I saw that Miss Colombia won, and I suddenly lost strength and vigor, and my students read my face and body language, they knew that Miss Philippines lost. It was a struggle to work through the core track but come cooldown time, everybody outside and inside the studio was cheering and jumping. Miss Philippines is the real Miss Universe! I had to celebrate with a red cup doodle at Starbucks, and I don't know why, for some reason they served me Colombia blend in my brewed coffee. Congratulations Pia!
Congratulations Pia for being crowned Miss Universe!
Mga Parol!
"Simbang gabi ay simula ng pasko, sa puso ng lahing Pilipino..." I miss the old choir days and all those Christmas carols...
Bringing in a more Filipino theme to this red cup art style... Philippine Christmas!
"Anong gagawin mo ngayong pasko?" This red cup art features scenes from a traditional Filipino Christmas... family reunions, visit to your godparents, devotional night masses "Simbang Gabi" and parols...
Collaboration red cup art with my brother. Well, I had to finish what he started...
Always finish what you start, haha! I can't help but finish the cup my brother abandoned with a just a few doodles. Adapting his eccentric style and being familiar with the creatures of his distorted imagination, I finished our red cup! Was this what you had in mind?
This is so uhhmmm...
A quick portrait sketch of my nephew Mikel on my red cup!
Mikel has been very very naughty...
Today, the Philippines marks Rizal's death anniversary, a day to "reflect on the sacrifice of Dr. Jose Rizal to free our country from the shackles of abuse and inequality." My idol in many ways, from his zealous love for country and beauty, to his excellence and talent in all forms of art, music and writing... ako ba ay "kabalat" pa rin?
"It is a useless life that is not consecrated to a great ideal. It is like a stone wasted on the field without becoming a part of any edifice." Jose Rizal... Today, the Philippines celebrates Rizal Day.
The red cups are slowly going away... awoooo! in mind?
"I was mortified by the prospect of becoming hopelessly trapped in someone else's story"
Found a shop that still serves red cups!
“The most precious gift we can offer others is our presence. When mindfulness embraces those we love, they will bloom like flowers.”
