One of the many jazz cafes along Frenchman St in the historic Faubourg Marigny neighborhood of New Orleans. The building dates back to the 1880's and the musicians say the all cypress wood music room is one of the warmest sounding rooms in New Orleans. Decided to get away from the tourist trap that Bourbon Street has become, the collection of beers on tap was quite impressive and there was a live band playing. Ended up exploring a whole new side New Orleans.
Stumbled across a really great dixieland jazz band in one of the cafes on Frenchman. The Creole Syncopators.
The famous hand grenade on Bourbon Street
Oh well..
A casual no fuss portrait of three revelers on Bourbon Street. Love the warm colors and the grain from the film
