I collaborated with a group of seventh graders and their history/English teacher  to create two pop-up books about their medieval studies. I taught the students two basic pop-up mechanisms. They used those techniques to make pop-ups about characters they had created inspired by Chaucer's Canterbury Tales. The books included the students' original poetry in iambic pentameter. I bound the books by hand in hardcover with decorative papers, faux leather, ornate corners and a key on a ribbon. The students donated the books to a school fundraiser for scholarships.
