The Open Counter: A Gourmet Typerie

Open Counter is a specialty gourmet bakery that creates deliciously edible typography. The 26 lettered cookies demonstrate the anatomy of typography through delectable and enjoyable “recipes” of form.
 
Serif typeface: Garamond Premier Pro
Sans-Serif typeface: Avenir & Neutraface
 
Each person coming up to the exhibition counter would receive an edible cookie letter, a receipt depending on their chosen letter, a paper bag and a sticker. Receipts for purchasing a cookie shows the anatomy of the letter, typeface name, and price breakdown.
Inedible cookie type (made with flour, salt and water by hand) was created for displaying the anatomy of each letter.
Project created in collaboration between Taysia Louie and Sangmi Lee.

We created this project for Advanced Type course.
 The project was exhibited at The Pop-Up Museum of Type
at Emily Carr University in December 2015.
