Civil War Sesquicentennial Banners
John G. Riley House & Museum
Displayed in the Tallahassee Regional Airport during February 2011. These promotional banners were designed to celebrate the sesquicentennial anniversary of the Civil War, and pay tribute to the United States Colored Troops. The first banner gives brief descriptions of important figures and sites of the Civil War’s presence in Florida. The second banner details the role of black soldiers in the Civil War. The second banner also showcases the different events that the John G. Riley House &
Museum hosts to pay tribute to the USCT regiments.
