E-Book Design-An East West Encounter

A creative non-fiction written by L. K. Sharma, on the theme of Anglo-Indian encounter and the Indian diaspora in Britain. The content is spread over four volumes- Naipaul's Children, The Twain, Inside Chutney Palace and Britain Reborn.
This is the design I suggested for the e-book.
A tentative cover for all four volumes.
The directions / contents
Cover for one of the books.
Cover for the chapter in Britain Reborn.
Every chapter has a simple cover of that of the book with an added on element from the story.
Here the flowers suggest a typical Indian welcome.
The books have different conversations between characters in different situations, which reveal more as you read more. The layout is very simple, as one would read in a book, to let the reader enjoy the conversations without thrusting any interpretations through heavy visuals.
Some words that are specific to this context are highlighted and the meaning to them is given when clicked.
The outline colors suggest the origin of the word - British / Indian.
West, Directions and East stand for Previous page, Content and Next page respectively.
