Let’s see a systematic step by step method of creating a multicoloured duck using Quilling Art:

Step1: Begin your Quilling art, with a cardboard in the dimensions of 45 cms by 28 cm lengthwise by breadth wise respectively.

Step2: Take glitter paper in black and white color in A4 size and paste them on the cardboard using adhesive and making the cardboard look half black and half white lengthwise as shown above.

Step3: Now, take a pink quilling strip and with the help of a quilling needle make a closed coil. Give it the shape of a tear drop and make multiple tear drop shaped coils in colors of sky blue, cyan, baby pink and saffron.

Step4: Start pasting the tear shaped coils in the shape of a duck giving it an outline in baby pin coils, and continue the second half in colors of sky blue, mint green and saffron

Step5: Make multiple tear shaped medium sized coils in turquoise blue and cyan and rose pink color and paste them on the body of the duck. Place a few closed coils near the neck region of the dog.

Step6: Lets us give a natural backdrop to our duck by adding beautiful double shaded leaves around. Join 2 quilling strips of dark green and sap green color and make a closed coil. Loosen it a little and give it the shape of a leaf by tapering it from one end. Make multiple leaves combining different shades of green.

Step7: Arrange and paste these leaves on both the side of the duck in a plant like pattern.

Step8: Make a small and tight coil in black color and make the duck’s eye and another tapered black coil as the duck’s beak.

Step 9: Take an orange quilling strip and make an S-scroll in one end of the strip. Add thermocol balls and double-shaded tear drop shaped coils to beautify the duck even more.

And there you have an absolutely ready to frame handcrafted, quilled bird in the form of a multicoloured duck using Quilling art. This colourful bird looks so beautiful that it can charm anyone!
