Final Art settles for a harmonious background that basically keeps the pattern composition as simple as possible. The central form, the head, ended up being filled with a deep pyramidal tunnel. This was meant to add a sense of illusory depth to the composition, symbolizing the inner space of the writer.

These are some of the early stages of the illustration. First, I started by establishing the basic form of the human head, making sure it occupied a central position in the entire composition. THen, I moved on to illustrating the first version of the decorative embelishments . It is at these points that the general style was agreed upon.
