My objective was to interpret the different kind of music genres into graphic elements. The 5 genres I picked are Jazz(which got perceived as Electro House), Heavy Metal, Pop, Hip Hop and Electronic/Trans/Techno. I understand different people can interpret different genres differently, so lets see if my perception is anywhere close to yours! Also, genres overlap, pop may have a rock bits in it....pop can mean Micheal Jackson...but these days it could mean Lady Gaga! So I picked elements that stood out for each genre, the essence and feeling of the music...the behavior of the progression of music and tried interpreting it through shapes, color, lines, and space. When tryin to guess which is what, try to think of the overall essence of that particular category of music...the experience of it...what it makes you feel..what colors you associate each genre with.
