During my exchange, I had the opportunity to work with the design studio Bobalong, that is specialized in graphic design and letterpress printing. I created some wedding invitation layouts and a whole typeface to be printed as monograms.
Durante o meu intercâmbio, eu tive a oportunidade de trabalho com o estúdio de design Bobalong, especializado em design gráfico e impressões em letterpress. Criei alguns layouts para convites de casamento e uma tipografia para ser impressa como monogramas.
About the invitations: The first one is inspired on flowers and embroidery. The second one, besides the lettepress printing (that you can see the results below) is supposed to be print in white ink - proccess that can be now done digitally. The third and forth one are inspired in lace. The last one, the lace vectors would be printed on letterpress without ink, leaving just embossed.
The monograms were inspired in sophistication and at the same time dynamic. The letters had to have personality, since they will work alone. You also can see the printed results below.
Sobre os convites: O primeiro foi inspirado em flores e bordados. O segundo, além da impressão em letterpress (que você pode conferir abaixo), deve ser impresso em tinta branca - processo que agora pode ser feito digitalmente. O terceiro e o quarto são inspirados em rendas. O último teria a impressão da renda sem tinta, deixando apenas o relevo.
Os monogramas foram inspirados em sofisticação e dinamismo. As letras precisavam ter personalidade, já que irão aparecer sozinhas. Veja os resultados impressos abaixo.
